Relaxing

The cold air from the North sea had a much greater impact today and the sun didn't appear till after lunch.  Even then it was cool. The shot was taken in Princes Street Gardens.

Old Docks

This is the section behind the old bonded warehouses on Commercial Street in Leith. The old dock has been filled in and the offices for the Scottish Government built, just out of the picture to the left.  The bottom sections of the old bonds are virtually all restaurants.

Greyfriars Tour

A group of youngsters on a tour of Greyfriars' Kirkyard led by a suitably attired guide. (I overheard "Regent Morton", very good and suitably grizzly).

Al Fresco Leith

Out comes the sun and we are all continentals.  The Shore doing a roaring trade.

Leith Rules Golf - The Hickory Open

Leith Links, the true home of golf. Today was the culmination of 4 days of golf on the links, the Hickory Open.  Old wooden clubs and often period attire. The rounds are contested by two teams of two.  Each team has only 1 ball and the team members take alternate shots. http://www.leith-rules-golf.co.uk/home.htm

The Doctors

A well kent hostelry opposite Edinburgh University's McEwan Hall at the corner of Forrest Road and Teviot Place.  There was a graduation ceremony going on as I passed but I couldn't wait for the graduands to appear. Enterprising idea by the pub though.

Wall

After weeks of patient work this local wall has been repointed, repaired and cleaned. I just like old walls.

Parking

Parking is increasingly a problem in Edinburgh.  In some residential streets they permit end-on parking. This is Pitt Street in Leith.  It is commercial as well as residential. I will need to take a shot of the other end of the street as a comparison.
