Logan's Garage

The "arches" of the old Leith Railway Station in Gordon Street are entirely given over to garages and coachworks.  Vehicle in for some work on this damp, dull morning.  Garage highly recommended.

I had occasion to drop off some samples at the National Gallery and took the opportunity to snap this view of long lunchtime shadows.

Memorial

I noticed this down at Ocean Terminal on what would have been the old pier that housed the Herring Industry Board Lab.  The stone "cairn" is new.  Whether the plaque is old or new I have no idea.  Why here?  Was it around here before?

Spending the weekend here at "Changin Scotland 20".  This is the view down Loch Broom.

Opening

First Minister Alex Salmond opening the George Wyllie Retrospective in the Mitchell.  This is a brilliant collection of  the wonderfully humorous George.  A must see. "In Pursuit of the Question Mark"
