Royal Highland Show

This is a picture of "grass". Or what grass looks like after 2 days heavy rain and a lot of tramping for the next 2 days. This is a lot better than the "car parks" aka adjoining fields where if you got stuck in the mud you had to pay £8.00 for a tow to get you out after having paid £8.00 to park in the first place. If you tried to get here on Sunday afternoon, coming from Edinburgh, the tailback from the Gogar roundabout meant the last 2 miles took about 1.5 hours, (you could walk it in 30 minutes). This is the same road that serves the Airport. The chaos was awesome. A regular occurrence at the RHS which "they" seem unable or unwilling to resolve. And even once you arrived after enduring this cobblers you would have to have forked out the entire cost for the day of £20 for the last couple of hours.  A triumph of organisation and marketing!
