Wow that's fab. Heron's fascinate me, I used to live by a river when I was growing up and would just see them sitting there for hours waiting for something to swim past. I've actually just sorted out a serviced apartment in Leith for the next couple of weeks...I don't suppose you could recommend some places for nature spotting? Thanks for this beauty!
ReplyDeleteNot really. This was taken on the river Almond a bit upstream from Crammond. Anywhere you can get access to the Water of Leith would yield something. Maybe best head for East Lothian. In Edinburgh the biggest concentration of wildlife, tho not so wild, is the Zoo. See 21st Sept.
