Winter
It has been about twenty years since we have had as much snow so early on in the winter. At least the Ski folks will be happy. Forecast to be cold for another 10 days.

Shore Block
This block of flats with,(largely unoccupied), offices at ground level sits by Coalhill on the Shore in Leith. I always feel it looks rather lost.

Merchant Navy Memorial
The Memorial was unveiled on Tuesday by the Princess Royal and the wreath laying ceremony took place today after the annual Seafarers service at South Leith Parish Church.

Leith Links.
The Links with some of the trees nearly bare now. The mound is one of Cromwell's raised platforms for artillery from the seige of Leith. The spire in the background is Leith St Andrews at the bottom of Easter Road.

The North Bridge, below is Waverley Station, running in to Waterloo Place and Register House. On the left the Balmoral Hotel, the old North British as was. To the right the old Post Office building with the shadow of the old Scotsman building falling on it.

Tony Again
Been up in Ullapool since Friday hence no posts. Weather has turned decidedly wintry with high winds. Snow ploughs on the A9 and the Braemar road closed. The Water of Leith is rising and the local Tony is gathering Autumn.

The Clock Has Changed
The clocks changed back to GMT at the weekend. I hadn't taken a shot for today and stuck my head out the door at 5 PM. Apart from the rain it was, of course, dark.
