Rain - Drain
The "weather" continues. This is the ever expanding puddle in the work car park. The litle oil slick seems to prevent the raindrops having a noticeable impact.

Crolla's
The sign of the old shop in Newhaven at the foot of Whalebrae. Originally a confectioners in the 1920's and latterly a "corner" shop where you could still get proper ice cream. It has been closed over a year now and no takers as a shop or dwelling.

Portobello Beach
Great improvement in the weather, but still a bit chilly. This seemed to be more akin to shinty or hurling than hockey but they were certaily enjoying themselves.

More "Summer"
Continuing rain with heavy downpoursand colder than yesterday. The Water of Leith is rising. If Tony had been replaced he would be up to his neck by now.

Summer ?
You can tell summer is coming. It is cold and very wet. The flood works at Bonnington. I now understand that the banked bit, submerged on the left, is not permanent. Just allows for access of the heavy equiptment and the narrowing faster flowing section will be back to the whole width and hopefully below the retaining walls.

Deanbrae House
This is the rather eccentric house at the south end of Dean Bridge. In the 18th century it was a tavern for Dean Village.

Bon Papillion
Happy anniversary. Bon Papillon is one year old today. Congratulations to Ingrid and Stuart. Let them eat cake. On the left orange cake and on the right beetroot and ginger with a cream cheese and lemon topping. Great little gallery as well. Exceedingly good cakes, on a plane far above Mr Kipling. http://www.bonpapillon.com/

The biggest moon of the year was non compliant in Edinburgh. It rose behind low clouds and didn't appear till it was truly dark.
