Dreich

Looking from North Bridge over towards Calton Hill which has disappeared in the mist.  The old Scottish Office building has almost gone and only the remains of the New Prison and the Martyr's Memorial loom out of the gloom ( this is approaching mid day). Damp and horrible.

Demolition

The wall in the lower part of the picture marks the edge of the Water of Leith at Bonnington Bridge. The whole area is being cleared as far as the Quilts. No indication of any intended construction.

Tony with some avian friends in Leith Harbour. A popular perch, he is now guano white.  Tonys 5 & 4 are still absent, presumably in the bowels of the Modern Art Gallery. I haven't seen any communication from the authorities as tothe absence of Mr Gormley's sculptures.
