Walking in the Pentland Hills south of Edinburgh this morning with Tom Bain.

Stairs

Started off quite nice today back back to gloom and rain by afternoon.  This is in the National Gallery, one of the better lit areas, heading to the subterranean section.

Old Calton Burial Ground

As seen over the wall on Waterloo place.  Main features, the Martyr's Memorial and Hume's Mausoleum.

Instillation

This is in Calton Road under the arch of the supporting bridge for Waterloo place.  The lights shine up the curved walls and change colour.

Awaiting Collection

Christmas well and truly discarded.

Phone

The phone in my local bank branch that can be accessed by the customers.

Ice Wall

The phone again.  In Glasgow for the day escaping the never ceasing rain and wind.  A corner of X- Scape has been given over to a little ice climbing section. Trying out my new axes.

Edinburgh and Cockenzie

The building is the Cockenzie Power Station.  Now closed, the chiumneys will be dismantled but the turbine hall maintained in case the decide to reuse with another fuel.  It was coal fired.

Barney is demonstrating his mastery of deferred gratification. He will sit forever until given the nod and won't even look at the biscuits on his paws. A lot better than most humans, especially at this time of year. Happy New Year.
