Welcome to the Pentlands

Forecast was for high winds but dry till late afternoon.  Wet from 9AM on and very windy. Looking towards Edinburgh through the mirk with some "Sunshine on Leith". The sign is new, very cheery. The firing range under King's Seat in use. Usually never used on a Sunday. Extensive new tracks being cut, not very scenic.

Botanics

Another sunny day and to the Botanics for a change from the park. It was indeed windy but obviously not in the shop. A bit paranoid about safety. So we went across the road instead to, what else, Inverleith Park!

Swans

The park yet again. The phone just can't handle the contrast.  Must get back to carrying a proper camera.

Stockbridge.

Looking south east from the roof of the Waitrose supermarket.  You can just see the Castle and Arthur's Seat on the horizon.

From the top deck of a No 11 bus on Princes Street.  Looking toward the Mound and the National Gallery.  Not a nice day.
