Christo? Or something with less artistic pretensions?
ReplyDeleteIt's still an amazing, almost wacky piece of engineering. As a local you sometimes need to decouple your familiarity to appreciate it.
In order to get away from the famous never ending paint job the structure is being treated with the latest in finishes which will last, hopefully, for some considerable time. It is however taking a very long time to get the work done and the covered sections are providing protection. A decent photo has been impossible for several years.
