Edinburgh Castle

The Castle as seen from Candlemaker Row. The wall is the retaining wall for Greyfriars Kirkyard.  If this collapsed you would have a road full of bones.  To the right of the castle's  Half -Moon Battery you can see the staging being constructed on the Castle Esplanade ready for the Tattoo.  It seems to go up earlier every year.

  1. Maybe the Tattoo seating will be ready for when the trams go into operation then........

Here in Switzerland... och, why bother

  2. I think it goes up early to allow other "events" all in the pursuit of filthy lucre.
