Great Junction Street

More particularly this is the octagonal domed clock tower of the old Leith Provident Co-operative Society built in 1911. This was their flagship store and it was indeed a department store occupying the ground floor for a considerable distance along the street.  Above the store were flats.  The flats in the tower section being large and spacious.  The top flat was owned by the actor Russell Hunter.
